Dreaming of Spring!

Happy Friday :-)

I hate to even repeat this out of a fear that sharing will make it real, but today’s weather forecast is calling for heavy rain with a chance of snow flurries (YUCK!!) and gusting winds. I don’t mind rain. Heck; I live in BC’s lower mainland… I’d better not mind the rain! And gusting winds? I enjoy a good storm, so bring it on!!

But snow flurries? NO! Please don’t let it snow!!

Thank goodness I’m settled next to the fireplace in my living room. Nice and cozy!

Better yet… sitting on my mantle, helping me to imagine the coming Spring season… TULIPS!

Hanging behind my lovely, happy tulips… my much-loved Matt LeBlanc Abstract Art original, a piece he painted during his Art for Life Campaign: creating 200 paintings in 184 days, with all profits from sales going toward the fight against cancer (Matt raised $38,000 for the cause!). Leaning next to the painting, the ResinArt I created with a photo taken by my friend Sheila Barriault (4Ever Sun Photography).

I hope you enjoy my spring inspired mantle as much as I do!!

Have a terrific weekend!!

  1. I am so with you, Victoria! It is gusting and pouring over here - just had to rescue the garbage can lid - it was blowing away down the road! I just 'retired' my tulips, but I know I need more! Between seeing your nice fresh ones and the rain outside, definitely need more :-) You are so lucky to have a Matt LeBlanc original - I just discovered him around Christmas time - love his work! Have a great weekend!!!

  2. Oh thank you for putting a little spring into my day. Did you end up getting caught in the snow? It was pure sleet blowing sideways while I was out today. YUCK!!! Just this once, I'm gonna say that I would rather be back in sunny Calgary. It's cold but it's brilliant with sunshine.

  3. I can't wait for spring! Have to say though, I kind of liked the snow the other day. I wish we'd have a bit more of a winter than just one loooooong autumn ;)

  6. Our temperature is set to plummet this weekend too and I am so not looking forward to it! I am jealous of you sitting in front of a roaring fire and your tulips are just beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and that the snow stays away!
